Free lecture: how to free ourselves from our ancestors' influences?
Thu, Feb 15
|New York - Samara School Studio
Very often, we reproduce situations and behaviors that a member of our family system has already experienced. In transgenerational terminology, we call this to be entangled with this member. A method that reveals these influences is the practice of the family and ancestral constellations.

About the event
“Usually”, we think that everything that happens to us is our own doing, perhaps even our fault, or even the consequence of our personal past.
However, family or ancestral constellations (these are systemic practices based on transgenerational knowledge) show us that very often, when we do what we don’t want to do (for example : entering into a conflict that we normally wanted to avoid) or when we do not do what we would like to do (example : when we can’t manage to follow a diet that was so important to us), this is often not our own doing, This can sometimes be linked to the influence of one or another member of our family or ancestral system, through what this member himself has done or not done, or neglected to do.
This person could be a grandparent or a dead ancestor, who we might not even have known and we find ourselves under his influence… This shows us that we sometimes reproduce behaviour or situations, that a member of our family system has already experienced.
In transgenerational terminology, we call this "to be entangled" with a member of our family or ancestral system.
However, these influences can be factors causing serious physical illnesses such as cancer, psychological disorders such as depression, or accidents, repeated failures (unfinished professional projects), recurrent relational or professional difficulties.
A method that reveals these influences in our family system is the practice of family and ancestral constellations.
They show up these invisible forces that are like threads that forge our life and have a determining action on it.
